Job summary

Atlas Copco Singapore is seeking a field service engineer to perform expert repairs and preventive maintenance on compressed air equipment at customer sites across Malaysia, with Singapore-based operations.

You will diagnose, test, and report outcomes, using English-language service reports and LMRA safety checks. Requires 1+ year experience and a valid driving license; traveling within the assigned region is expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ year hands-on experience with compressed air equipment or related machinery.
• Strong knowledge of servicing Atlas Copco products or competitor compressors/dryers is preferred.
• Reading technical manuals and preparing detailed service reports in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert repair, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting on compressed air equipment at customer sites.
• Coordinate daily tasks with Service Operation Team Leader and Planner; record labor hours and complete reports in the MAM system.
• Conduct LMRA before each job and adhere to safety standards, reporting hazards/incidents and wearing PPE.
• Service a range of equipment including Atlas Copco compressors, dryers, and ancillary systems; perform preventive maintenance and diagnostics.

Job description

Your role

• Perform expert repair, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting on compressed air equipment at customer sites across Malaysia.
• Ensure minimal disruption to customer operations by delivering efficient and high‑quality service.
• Coordinate daily tasks with the Service Operation Team Leader and Planner.
• Accurately record productive labor hours and complete service reports using the MAM system.
• Conduct Last Minute Risk Assessments (LMRA) before every job.
• Adhere to all safety standards, including reporting hazards/incidents and wearing required PPE.
• Service a wide range of equipment including:
• Atlas Copco compressors, dryers, and ancillary systems
• Competitor machines
• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and parameter checks (e.g., pressure, temperature) before and after service.
• Cleaning the equipment and work area
• Conducting test runs
• Communicating results clearly to customers
• Encourage customer engagement through Net Promoter Score (NPS) participation.
• Technical training from Service Academy / CTS Division
• Supporting colleagues and fostering team collaboration
• Maintain readiness for 24/7 service availability to ensure business continuity for customers.

To succeed, you will need

• Minimum of 1 year hands‑on experience working with compressed air equipment or related industrial machinery.
• Strong knowledge of servicing Atlas Copco products or competitor compressors, dryers, and related equipment is highly preferred.
• Proficient in reading technical manuals and preparing detailed service reports in English.
• Mechanical and electromechanical troubleshooting skills combined with practical diagnostic experience.
• Educational background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic engineering through diploma or degree qualification.
• Capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team, maintaining a strong customer service orientation.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to analytical detail.
• Valid driving license enabling travel to various customer sites within your assigned region.

Job location

You will be based at our customer center located in Singapore, where you will join a dynamic and skilled field service team. The role requires working remotely with significant travel throughout your assigned region in Malaysia to provide personalized on‑site service to our diverse customer base, ensuring timely and effective equipment maintenance and support.
