Job summary

Canon Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support the installation, startup, and qualification of new sputtering and deposition equipment at customer sites.

You will diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure uptime. Cleanroom protocols and safety standards are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Semiconductor, or related fields).
• Hands-on experience in a cleanroom environment is strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting semiconductor equipment installation or field service is an advantage.
• Knowledge of vacuum systems, thin-film deposition, or sputtering equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, startup, and qualification of new sputtering and deposition equipment at customer sites.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
• Work closely with customers, project engineers, and global technical teams to resolve issues.
• Prepare service reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure all tasks follow cleanroom protocols, safety standards, and company procedures.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support when needed.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or public holidays when required during critical project phases.
