Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Field Service Engineer to deliver excellent support and service. Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Agilent instruments and systems in laboratories. The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering, 3 years of experience, and strong analytical skills. Knowledge of chromatography and mass spectrometry is preferred. This role emphasizes customer satisfaction and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in field service, instrumentation maintenance, or analytical laboratory equipment support.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and qualify Agilent instruments and software at customer sites.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on a wide range of Agilent analytical instruments.
  • Deliver prompt and effective onsite and remote technical support to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues independently or in collaboration with global technical support teams.
  • Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation in accordance with company standards.
  • Provide basic operational training to customers following installation or service visits.
  • Identify service opportunities and communicate customer needs to Sales and Product teams.
  • Ensure all service activities are performed in compliance with EHS policies and quality procedures.
  • Manage service parts, tools, and test equipment efficiently.

Skills

You will play a key role in delivering world-class support and service to customers. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and calibration of instruments and systems across laboratories, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on a wide range of Agilent analytical instruments (e.g., HPLC, GC, MS, UV-Vis, FTIR, Spectroscopy systems).
  • Deliver prompt and effective onsite and remote technical support to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues independently or in collaboration with global technical support teams.
  • Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation in accordance with company standards.
  • Provide basic operational training to customers following installation or service visits.

  • Proficiency in English and local language (written & verbal).
