Job summary

Methodist Welfare Services is seeking a counsellor for family and marital casework in Singapore. You will run group programmes for couples undergoing marital stress, support children whose parents are experiencing marital issues, and handle administrative tasks for casework.

The role involves setting up departmental structures, leading ad-hoc agency projects, coordinating with partners, and managing the risks within cases. Field supervision for students on placement is also part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Counseling or Social Work.
• At least 3 years of relevant social service or counseling experience.
• Registration as a counselor with SAC preferred (if applicable).
• Willing to learn and undergo trainings for marital and family counseling.
• Ability to handle risk cases and critical incidents in casework.
• Good analytical skills and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Handle cases and run group work programmes addressing family and marital issues.
