Job summary

A facilities management company in Singapore is seeking a Maintenance Technician to conduct preventive and corrective maintenance for buildings and facilities. Responsibilities include attending to day-to-day operations, liaising with contractors, and maintaining proper records. Candidates should possess a NITEC in electrical or mechanical engineering and 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in building maintenance. Shift work is required from Monday to Sunday.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years’ relevant working experience in Building Maintenance / Facilities Management.
  • Willingness to perform shift work in a roaster.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out in-house preventive maintenance for all facilities.
  • Attend to day-to-day maintenance operations.
  • Liaise with contractors for servicing and repairs.
  • Keep all systems operational and minimize downtime.
  • Log and maintain spare parts and tools.

Overview

Carry out in-house preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance for all facilities, buildings and services system. Attend to day-to-day maintenance operations for all facilities, building and services system. Maintain proper records of maintenance checklists and documentations. Liaise and coordinate with contractors for routine servicing and emergency repair in order to keep all the above systems in operational state. Perform standby / duty to attend to system fault during or after office hours, weekends and public holidays when needed. Minimize all facilities, building and services downtime during operation. Log, update and maintain all facilities, building and services spare parts, tools and instruments. To be able to work under sub-zero environment and no phobia of heights. To inform immediate superiors/duty personnel for all faults/alarms/abnormalities for all systems. To learn and maintain any other new/additional systems not mentioned above as assigned by Head of Department. Perform any other ad hoc duties assigned by Facility Engineers/Assistant Engineers

Job Requirements
  • Min NITEC In electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • 1 to 2 years’ relevant working experience in Building Maintenance / Facilities Management
  • Willingness to perform shift work, 5 days workweek from Monday to Sunday will be rostered 8 am to 6 pm OR 8 pm to 6 am. OT payable beyond 44 hours/week.
