Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Facility Technician - Landscaping to join our Facilities Maintenance team. This role focuses on the upkeep and enhancement of our outdoor grounds, ensuring the artificial turf and pavement grass areas around our factory remain professional, clean, and functional. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining a landscape that complements our industrial operations while adhering to safety standards and environmental best practices in Singapore's tropical climate. This is a full‑time, hands‑on position requiring outdoor work in humid, rainy, and hot conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Grounds Maintenance: Perform routine tasks for artificial turf and pavement grass areas, including cleaning, debris removal, brushing to maintain turf integrity, and edging to keep a neat and professional appearance of factory grounds, parking lots, and perimeter areas.
• Turf Repair and Upkeep: Inspect and repair synthetic turf for wear, seams, or infill issues; address any grass growth on pavements through safe weed control methods to prevent slippage or obstruction near loading docks and production areas.
• Drainage and Water Management: Monitor and clear drainage systems to handle heavy tropical rains; inspect and maintain any minimal irrigation setups if applicable, promoting water conservation and preventing pooling or erosion.
• Pest and Weed Control: Apply eco‑friendly herbicides and pesticides responsibly for pavement cracks and turf edges, following NEA (National Environment Agency) guidelines and factory safety protocols; conduct regular inspections for pests or invasive growth.
• Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Safely operate landscaping equipment such as blowers, trimmers, pressure washers, and small utility vehicles; perform basic maintenance and cleaning on tools to ensure reliability and longevity.
• Safety and Compliance: Identify and mitigate hazards in outdoor areas (e.g., slippery pavements during rain or uneven turf near heavy machinery zones); ensure all work complies with Singapore's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, local environmental policies, and company standards.
• Waste and Sustainability Management: Collect and dispose of debris, recyclables, and minimal yard waste; implement eco‑friendly practices like proper waste segregation to support our factory's sustainability goals in line with Singapore's green initiatives.
• Collaboration and Reporting: Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., production, security) for event setups or temporary modifications; maintain records of maintenance activities, inventory supplies, and report any facility issues to the Facilities Manager.
• Additional Support: From time to time, perform other facilities maintenance tasks as assigned by the Facilities Manager to support overall site operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certificate in Horticulture, Landscaping, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of hands‑on groundskeeping or facility maintenance experience, ideally in an urban or industrial setting in a tropical climate.
• Proficiency in operating basic landscaping tools and equipment; valid Singapore driver's license with a clean driving record is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of artificial turf maintenance, weed control, and drainage systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 kg, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in Singapore's heat, humidity, and frequent rain.
• Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and a proactive problem‑solving mindset.
