Job description

(2 Years Contract)

The Facility Engineer is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of facility systems and infrastructure to ensure a safe, efficient, and reliable environment. This role involves managing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, as well as coordinating facility upgrades, repairs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Facility Engineer collaborates with cross‑functional teams, contractors, and vendors to implement sustainable solutions and support operational goals. Key duties include troubleshooting issues, developing maintenance schedules, and assisting cross‑functional teams in managing project activities involving facility changes. The ideal candidate has experience in mechanical, electrical, or facilities engineering with strong technical expertise, problem‑solving skills, and experience in facility management or engineering.

Your Responsibilities
  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Provide 24/7 support as needed to respond to equipment failures, out‑of‑spec conditions, or other emergencies, ensuring the consistent operational status of the entire facility.
  • Conduct regular facilities inspections to identify issues, assess system conditions, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and building code regulations.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with facility systems, coordinating with technicians and external vendors as needed to minimize downtime.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all critical systems to extend equipment lifespan and reduce the risk of failures.
  • Collaborate with external contractors, suppliers, and service providers to source materials, ensure timely delivery of high‑quality services, and maintain complete documentation and closure of purchase orders.
  • Work closely with Facility Manager to monitor the performance of outsourced contractors.
  • Collaborate with safety officer to ensure facilities adhere to statutory regulations, including fire codes, safety standards, and environmental guidelines while maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Manage non‑conformance events, propose and implement corrective action, conduct follow‑up checks to verify effectiveness and ensure timely closure of non‑conformance issues.
  • Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits by ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational standards, providing accurate documentation, and promptly addressing audit findings.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans for facility‑related incidents to ensure preparedness and minimize risks.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as Operations, Quality, Safety, and Management to align facility operations with overall organizational objectives.
Your Profile
  • Minimum Diploma in Facilities Management or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in facility engineering, facility management, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in managing building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and overseeing or leading facility maintenance or improvement projects.
  • Strong knowledge of facilities‑related regulatory requirements.
  • Able to effectively manage contractors and vendors to ensure quality work and service delivery.
  • A team player with hands‑on capabilities and strong interpersonal skills.
