Job description
Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the maintenance and daily operations of the building facilities with the objective of always achieving uninterrupted function
  • Ensure contractor service level agreements and key performance indicators are met or exceeded
  • Perform routine facilities activities including onsite inspection, fix-it verification, critical systems checks, functional testing, etc. Able to respond and act in response to facilities crisis management activities including power outages, fire alarms, and HVAC outages.
  • Analyse data and identify trends with facility issues to determine the root causes and take appropriate action
  • Respond to BMS alerts, investigate and feedback on any outstanding issues or events and respond to emergency situations and be on standby duty as required
  • Assist in all site construction activities and installations, in coordination with external contractors to ensure system design, installation and testing adhere to operational standards.
  • Maintain compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WHS) standards and electrical and building codes
  • Ensure adherence to all standard operating procedures (SOP), method of procedures (MOP), and emergency response procedures (ERP) established for the critical environments, as well as the formal change control process
  • Participate in the scheduling, coordination, and completion of all significant planned and emergency maintenance events for the facility and ensure these activities are executed in a controlled and proven method to ensure the reliability of the critical loads supported by these systems
  • Plans, monitors, schedules, and implements measures on the Planned Preventive Maintenance Program for the company buildings and also ensures that the work is done in accordance with schedule and specification
  • Provides technical support and take charge on matters concerning the parts replacement and repairs maintenance and service activities of all the mechanical & electrical equipment
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers regarding improvement works and purchasing of equipment and spare parts
  • Prepares weekly and monthly building reports
  • Planning building maintenance and operational programs for the awarded IFM contracts
  • Liaison with all stakeholders, attend to stakeholders’ feedback and ensure a smooth operation of facilities. Ensuring efficiency of all building systems
  • Preparation of budget and budget controls
  • Ensuring all processes and compliance programs are met
  • Familiar in administration and functioning of CMMS/FMS software for monitoring, reporting, data analysis and audit.
Requirements – Facilities Engineer
  • Degree in Facilities Management or equivalent qualification or Diploma holder in equivalent qualification with more than 5 years relevant experiences
  • Preferably with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in Facilities Maintenance, Project Management.
  • Able to comprehend, analyse and interpret complex project documents, including AutoCAD, Visio, and PDF documents.
  • Technical and functional knowledge of building infrastructure including electrical and mechanical systems, fire detection and protection systems, building management systems, equipment maintenance, and construction of critical facilities environment.
