Job description
  • This position will lead engineering operations for the growing regions of Singapore, SEA and ANZ including; managing the facilities engineering team, coordination of contracted engineering service providers, implementing operational initiatives and supporting project works.
  • Additionally, this role will provide ad hoc support to the Apple APAC Engineering team for R&D technical center based in Singapore.
  • The individual should be adept at forming lasting working relationships with suppliers and be able to clearly communicate with Apple business functions & customers at all levels.
  • This role would suit an experienced facility engineer looking to take their career to the next level.
This role will include but not limited to:
  • Day to day owner of all mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems.
  • Plan, set and manage preventative maintenance programs to optimize cost to Apple whilst ensuring no impact to business continuity.
  • Lead the facilities engineering maintenance team, based in Singapore and provide governance of third-party engineering maintenance for SEA and ANZ office locations.
  • Own and drive key facilities engineering programs.
  • Implement operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance of M&E installations for all designated buildings to statutory codes and environmental accreditations.
  • Have a proven ability to optimize and operating systems to this standard as required.
  • Develop a project process to encompass procurement, project management and budget controls to enable predictable project delivery, supporting project in Singapore and South Asia.
  • Plan and forecast annual operational expenditure (OPEX) and capital expenditure (CAPEX) for routine and reactive maintenance projects.
  • Attend to complaints or / abnormalities and solve the issues timely.
  • Partner with EHS to develop energy management programs / projects and execute as required
  • Track utility consumption rates and implement optimization changes.
  • Partner with IFM teams of contractors and suppliers to deliver the mechanical and electrical system maintenance scope of works.
  • Assist with the leading mechanical & electrical suppliers QBRs and performance manage the supplier as required
  • Develop concise communications suitable for all levels of management e.g. Status Reports, Feasibility reports, return on investment / cost assessments.
  • Partner with Places Management teams to coordinate delivery of site Soft & Hard Services.
  • Follow-up with Apple stakeholders on site services delivery tracking, issues risks and results.
  • Input on Facility Management innovation programs.
  • Input on engineering system tools for CMMS, asset management, and iBMS and service requests.
  • *Emergency Call Out*
  • Stand by 24x7 for all emergency alert and call outs.
  • Maintain register of all call outs and prepare incident reports.
  • Coordinate appropriate action for rectification including preliminary analysis of fault, accurate reporting, and post-incident review.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Degree qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer
  • 10+ years in facility engineer or relevant experiences
  • Understand the business of Real Estate & Development in a dynamic multi-national environment
  • Experience in setting up and managing PPM system delivery to meet compliance and operations requirements are essential
  • Experience with clean room or data center environment desirable
