Job summary

A leading consultancy firm based in Singapore is seeking a Production Manager to oversee factory operations and lead a team. Responsibilities include managing production throughput, quality control, and cost management. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in precision engineering. A degree in Mechanical Engineering is required. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are essential. The position offers opportunities to drive productivity improvements and report directly to senior management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a high-mix low volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience in managing a manufacturing team for at least 5 years.
• Understanding of current ISO standards.

Job description

Accountable for production throughput and cycle lead-times, quality control and delivery timeliness.

Responsible for effective management of production costs.

Responsible for factory operations, including ensuring safety & 5S, utilization and maintenance of machinery, and maximizing effective usage of factory space.

Lead and manage groups of direct reporting staff, engineer, supervisor and workers.

Drive productivity improvements.

Prepare monthly production and analysis report to Senior Management.

Provide technical support to sales and project team.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in a high-mix low volume manufacturing environment.
• Preferably in precision engineering and metal fabrication industry.
• An understanding of current ISO standards.
• 5 years of experience in managing a manufacturing team.
• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Exposure to MRP System.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
