Job summary

Trinax is seeking an experienced Exhibition Designer to turn AI concept renders into realistic, buildable exhibition designs in Singapore. You will develop spatial layouts from floor plans, resolve fabrication constraints, and propose practical alternatives while preserving the original creative intent.

Key focus areas include human-scale design, visitor circulation, materials, and fabrication, with expertise in SketchUp and Enscape for accurate renders and presentations.

Qualifications

• Portfolio with actual built projects in Singapore.
• Experience taking projects from concept through to physical execution.
• Strong understanding of floor plans and spatial planning.
• Strong understanding of visitor circulation and human scale.
• Practical knowledge of exhibition materials, fabrication and installation.
• Strong SketchUp and Enscape skills.
• Able to assess whether a concept is realistically buildable.

Responsibilities

• Translate AI concept renders into realistic and buildable exhibition designs.
• Develop spatial layouts based on actual floor plans and site dimensions.
• Resolve gaps between AI-generated concepts and physical reality.
• Recommend practical alternatives when concepts cannot be executed as shown.
• Design around human scale, visitor circulation, sightlines and accessibility.
• Develop exhibition structures, displays, feature areas and environmental elements.
• Specify realistic materials and consider fabrication methods.
• Consider lighting, installation and production constraints during design development.
• Produce accurate SketchUp models and presentation-quality Enscape renders.
• Develop designs from concept through design development and production.
• Work with creative, technical, production, fabrication and installation teams.
• Support both temporary, event-based exhibitions and permanent exhibitions.

Trinax is looking for an experienced Exhibition Designer to work across temporary and permanent exhibition projects in Singapore.

Our creative team will establish the experience, creative direction and AI-generated concept renders.

Your job is to make sure the idea can become reality.

AI can give us the vision. We need you to resolve that vision against actual floor plans, dimensions, human scale, circulation, materials, fabrication and site constraints.

If something in the concept cannot realistically be built, we expect you to identify it and recommend a feasible alternative without losing the original creative intent.

What you’ll work on

What we’re looking for

• Professional experience in exhibition or experiential spatial design
• Prior experience working with a Singapore exhibition, museum, events, interior or experiential design firm
• Portfolio with actual built projects in Singapore
• Experience taking projects from concept through to physical execution
• Strong understanding of floor plans, dimensions and spatial planning
• Strong understanding of visitor circulation and human scale
• Practical knowledge of exhibition materials, fabrication and installation
• Strong SketchUp and Enscape skills
• Able to assess whether a concept is realistically buildable
• Able to challenge a concept and recommend better solutions when necessary

Bonus

• Museum, gallery, heritage or public-sector exhibition experience
• Permanent exhibition experience
• Environmental graphic design capabilities
• Experience working directly with fabricators and contractors

We are specifically looking for exhibition designers with evidence of translating design intent into physical spaces. Pure 3D visualisation portfolios without built-project experience will not be suitable for this role.
