Job summary

A leading event management firm in Singapore is looking for an experienced Venue Operations Supervisor. You will oversee daily venue activities, ensure event readiness, and coordinate logistics. Candidates should have a Higher NITEC or Diploma in Event Management and at least three years of experience in venue operations. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Job description
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise day‑to‑day venue activities, ensuring event areas and public spaces are well‑maintained, risk‑free, and guest‑ready.
  • Arrange logistics for client walkthroughs and confirm that all directional and branding signage is correctly produced and displayed.
  • Perform pre‑event inspections and coordinate joint checks with event organisers for smooth handover and return of venue spaces.
  • Handle organisers’ operational and technical requests, including setup, coordination of services, and on‑the‑day event support.
  • Communicate with third‑party service providers (cleaning, security, logistics) to maintain agreed quality and timing standards.
  • Carry out routine safety and fire inspections, addressing potential risks with relevant teams and event organisers.
  • Oversee crowd movement and vehicle flow during major events to maintain safety protocols and positive visitor experiences.
  • Serve as a certified First Aider and emergency response team member, assisting in incident management and safety drills.
  • Create and monitor work orders to ensure timely completion of operational tasks related to event services.
  • Assist with procurement processes, including obtaining quotes, preparing purchase orders, coordinating vendor engagement, and reviewing billing accuracy.
  • Manage the scheduling, accuracy, and performance of digital display systems to ensure effective communication to attendees.
  • Perform additional responsibilities or cross‑departmental tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Possess a Higher NITEC or Diploma in Event Management or an equivalent discipline.
  • At least three years of hands‑on experience in event or venue operations.
  • Well‑versed in event logistics, operational planning, and on‑site execution processes.
  • Willing to work on rotating schedules, including weekends and public holidays.
