Job summary
A leading event management company in Singapore is seeking an experienced professional to manage project operations. Responsibilities include sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and liaising with clients to ensure project success. Ideal candidates should have a diploma or degree in Events Management and 2-3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft tools and multitasking abilities are essential.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of relevant on-site operational experience.
- Experience in M&E works will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of furniture, materials, and finishes is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the BOQ by listing all required materials and fittings.
- Source and obtain quotations for the procurement of materials.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers.
- Submit concepts and costs to clients for approval.
- Monitor suppliers and subcontractors adherence to schedules.

A Day in the Life:
- Prepare the BOQ (Breakdown of Quantity) by listing all required materials, fittings and fixtures
- Source and obtain quotations for the procurement of required materials
- Negotiate the best terms and conditions and proceed with the procurement of materials / fittings from suppliers
- Apply for necessary licenses, passes, and permits
- Conduct site recce when necessary
- Support site and field operations
- Submit concepts and costing to clients for approval
- Liaise with relevant parties to ensure electrical / water plans and internet connection (on request) are arranged
- Liaise with clients for artwork and coordinate with supplier for printing
- Coordinate with the sales team and suppliers on work specifications and clients’ requirements
- Monitor and ensure that suppliers and sub-contractors adhere to project schedules
- Conduct quality checks on suppliers’ fabrication work to ensure compliance with requirements
- Conduct on-site servicing to address clients’ feedback
- Conduct on-site supervision of suppliers and move-in arrangements
- Prepare additional costing for the sales team to bill clients for Variation Order (VO)
- Raise Purchase Order and close projects after event
- Coordinate with suppliers to clear items after event
- Oversee and ensure proper teardown after events
- Assist the department in any other matters when necessary
Who We are Looking For:
- Diploma or Degree in Events Management, Construction Management, or a related field
- 2–3 years of relevant on-site operational experience
- Experience in M&E works will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of furniture, materials, and finishes will be an added advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project
- Independent, self-motivated, and proactive
- Able to multitask and work within tight schedules
- Possesses technical knowledge in conceptual design drawings and floor plans
