Qualifications

10+ years of relevant professional experience in investment management, private equity, venture capital, corporate finance, asset management or related field.
Proven experience in senior management, investment decision-making and strategic business development.
Strong understanding of investment analysis, corporate finance, financial markets, valuation and transaction structuring.
Demonstrated ability to identify and evaluate investment opportunities and make commercially sound decisions.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement AST Investments' corporate, investment and business strategies.
Lead identification, evaluation and development of new investment opportunities.
Oversee investment activities including assessment, due diligence, structuring, execution and portfolio management.
Review proposals and present recommendations to the Board and shareholders on significant opportunities.
Establish investment strategies, risk management frameworks and portfolio monitoring processes.
Monitor financial and operational performance to enhance portfolio value and returns.
Lead negotiations and maintain relationships with investee companies, banks, investors and advisers.
Develop strategic partnerships in Singapore and international markets.
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, cash management and overall performance.
Ensure governance, internal controls and compliance across the company.
Collaborate with external advisers on corporate and investment matters.
Lead day-to-day operations and deploy resources to meet strategic objectives.
Recruit and develop key personnel to build a strong management team.
Represent AST Investments in meetings with investors and authorities.
Monitor market and regulatory developments and their impact on investments.
Prepare and present reports to the Board on performance and strategy.
Ensure activities comply with Singapore laws and governance requirements.
