Job Summary

Deliver and maintain the information technology initiatives of Rainbow Centre with direction from the IT Manager to attain the operational objectives of Rainbow Centre.

Key Responsibilities

Manage & Execute Information Technology Operations and Service Delivery

  • Assist IT Manager to manage IT service delivery goals including continuous improvement, implementing policies and managing end user satisfaction
  • Provide end user IT Support (Service Desk) to ensure service standards for print services, infrastructure services (including network and telephony), user access to IT services and maintenance of laptop and desktops.
  • Update and maintain End User devices (including laptops and accessories) / IT Infrastructure (including network and telephony) / AV equipment (including projectors and speakers) in the RC campus to ensure their serviceability and suitability for staff use and all equipment are properly utilised and provide status reports to the IT Manager.
  • Manage campus CCTV storage ensuring that the data is secure and retrieval of video when requested by management for review.
  • Update and maintain inventory of IT equipment and infrastructure for campus ensuring IT equipment are properly utilised.
  • Engage in routine (e.g. annual) planning, purchasing and deploying of IT and AV equipment for the RC campus and staff to achieve productivity goals
  • Manage all software licences and hardware requisitions, its deployment to users, tech refresh and eventual condemnation.
  • Maintain and administer End user devices through Mobile Device Management and Mobile Application Management Software and enforcing device policies.
  • Perform technical and application support for service users where necessary.
  • Schedule upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems to avoid unnecessary downtime that would impact staff and students.
Monitoring & Reporting of Information Technology Operations
  • Conduct audits to enforce IT Policies in RC.
  • Monitor and analyse for preventative action the utilization of infrastructure services for reporting and trend analysis such as Internet Bandwidth, Device utilization etc.
  • Monitor and review IT requests raised by users for monthly reporting to IT Manager for trend analysis
  • Engage IT vendors and service providers to report, monitor and resolve IT service disruptions and
  • Support IT Manager to implement continuous service improvements by IT vendors and service providers
Develop, Deliver, Maintain & Review Information Technology Solutions
  • Plan & execute projects to be rolled out in campuses (both software and infrastructure) with the IT Manager and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with system owners to review solutions (including process, device, policy and architecture improvements) rolled out for evaluation and Return on Investment of solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify areas of improvement and to develop solutions within Rainbow Centre for technology to enable for increased productivity and efficiency.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma in Information Technology or other relevant information technology fields.
  • Preferably 2 years of experience in the information technology sector with relevance to the role.
  • Advanced knowledge of Computer hardware, software, network, telephony and AV systems including commonly used end user operating systems.
  • Computer Network Administration for Wired and Wireless Networks & troubleshooting.
