Job summary

Qualifications

• Significant management experience within chemical distribution, specialty chemicals, manufacturing or related B2B sectors.
• Proven experience in business strategy, commercial management, market development and organizational leadership.
• Strong understanding of P&L management, pricing strategy, budgeting and commercial risk.
• Demonstrated ability to develop new markets, customers, products and strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the medium- and long-term business strategy in alignment with Directors’ vision.
• Lead the overall commercial direction, including revenue growth, profitability, market positioning and expansion.
• Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, product categories and partnerships in chemical and industrial sectors.
• Develop strategies to expand the company’s chemical distribution and specialty chemical portfolio.
• Evaluate new business opportunities, investments, supplier partnerships and market-entry opportunities.
• Establish annual business plans, revenue targets, budgets and profitability objectives.
• Maintain responsibility for business performance including sales growth, gross margins and operating expenses.
• Lead strategic pricing and commercial decision-making for major customers and projects.
• Build long-term supplier and customer relationships with international principals.
• Lead major tenders, framework agreements and supply contracts.
• Monitor industry trends and market developments to identify opportunities and risks.
• Strengthen Chemlex’s position within key market sectors and optimise supply chain and working capital.
• Drive organizational improvement, digitalisation and process optimisation.
• Lead and develop management and operational teams with clear objectives.
• Build capabilities through recruitment, training and succession planning.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and manage key business risks related to customers, suppliers, pricing and supply continuity.
• Prepare management reports and strategic recommendations for Directors.
• Represent the company in high-level discussions with customers, suppliers and stakeholders.
