Job description
Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you are responsible for the organisation’s full set of GL accounts, ensuring proper recording, accuracy, and completeness of financial records.

You will play a key role in financial reporting, including preparation, analysis, and review of monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.

This role also supports governance, audits, and financial process improvements.

Responsibilities
1. General Ledger (GL) & Accounting
  • Preparation of journal vouchers.
  • Monitor and review accounting entries to ensure accuracy and completeness for reporting purposes.
  • Perform monthly counts/verifications of kits and controlled items.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations, income reconciliations, and fund reconciliations.
2. Financial and Management Reporting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including annual report and financial disclosures.
  • Consolidate financial data from multiple sources for internal and external reporting.
  • Prepare reports for Management and Committee meetings which include variance analysis, identifying key drivers and trends.
  • Assist in forecasting and budgeting exercises.
3. Compliance & Regulatory Submissions
  • Ensure timely submissions to regulatory authorities (e.g., GST, IRAS, MOH, AIC‑CST).
  • Prepare and monitor grant related reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and reporting standards.
  • Support internal and external audit processes (financial and internal audit).
4. Governance, Procurement & Other Duties
  • Review and update SOPs for compliance.
  • Update bank mandates where applicable.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors, bankers, and stakeholders.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Head of Finance, Finance Committee, or Finance Manager.
