Job summary

A non-profit organization in Singapore is seeking a Finance Assistant to handle bookkeeping duties, manage petty cash, and prepare donation reports. Job Summary

Responsible for bookkeeping duties and supporting the Management in ensuring that all finance related processes and practices are in accordance with auditor’s requirements and the professional ethics and standards.

Finance
  • Petty cash management including replenishment of cash from the bank (frequency of bank errands – fortnightly). Petty cash payments must be accurate and properly recorded.
  • Liaise with service providers and vendors to ensure timely payments.
  • Coordinate and obtain appropriate signatures for bank documents.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliation and submit supporting documents to outsourced Accountant for month-end closing by 7th of the following month.
  • Ensure proper filing and archiving of finance related documents.
  • Preparation of month-end schedules.
Donation Report
  • To perform monthly reconciliation between reports downloaded from donation portals and bank statements. To prepare both the Monthly Donation Check Report as well as the Actuals Donation Report.
  • Manage offline donations and donation-in-kind in the office.
  • Timely data entry of donation into Donation Management System (DMS).
  • Liaising with DMS’s vendor to troubleshoot technical errors in the system.
Ad-hoc
  • Any other duties as assigned by Manager, Finance and IT Admin

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Tech savvy and able to act independently with minimal supervision.
