Key Responsibilities

The Finance Executive is responsible for managing both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial operations. This role requires a hands‑on professional who can work with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment in routine finance matters. The successful candidate will manage day‑to‑day finance operations, including billing and payment runs, support month‑end and year‑end financial close, maintain robust financial controls, and contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes and workflows.

Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Manage the end‑to‑end AP process, including verification, processing, and posting of supplier invoices with accurate coding and required approvals.

  • Reconcile invoices against purchase orders and goods received notes, and resolve discrepancies with internal stakeholders and vendors.

  • Execute timely payment runs ensuring sufficient bank balances and proper endorsements are in place.

  • Prepare and process electronic payments using designated banking platforms.

  • Support month‑end and year‑end closing, including preparation of accruals, reconciliations, and AP reports

  • Maintain accurate documentation and respond to internal and external audit queries, ensuring full regulatory and policy compliance

Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Generate invoices, statements of accounts (SOA), and client outstanding reports.

  • Ensure adherence to monthly debt collection procedures in accordance with Finance SOPs.

  • Process GIRO collection batches and coordinate approvals for bad debt write‑offs.

  • Post receipts accurately and reconcile collections against bank statements on a weekly basis, ensuring proper banking and cash‑handling procedures are followed.

  • Track unreconciled receipts and clear customer open items prior to monthly ageing reports.

  • Follow up with clients to settle outstanding arrears.

  • Support the smooth functioning of the AR collection process and coordinate with internal departments and external agencies as required.

The responsibilities and duties outlined above are not exhaustive. The role may be required to perform other tasks and provide support to the Finance Department and the wider organisation as needed and as directed.

Job Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Accountancy or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Oracle NetSuite), financial close processes, and regulatory compliance.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage and engage stakeholders effectively.

  • Meticulous, organised, and able to work independently with limited supervision.

  • High standards of integrity, accountability, and professionalism in handling financial matters

  • Demonstrates a client‑oriented mindset, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, in line with the organisation’s People Giving People ethos.
