Job summary

A*STAR invites an Executive Director for the Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC) to lead Singapore's national research agenda. You will shape strategic priorities, steer multi-domain research programs, and mobilise resources to deliver high-impact outcomes across sustainability, energy, transportation and advanced manufacturing.

You will build and sustain strategic partnerships with government, academia and industry, drive translation and venture creation, and act as a senior

Qualifications

Proven ability to shape organisational direction and research strategy.
Experience in leading large, multidisciplinary research portfolios.
Track record of building strategic partnerships and driving translation.
Experience in national, public sector or government-aligned initiatives.
Strong communication and leadership能力 across senior stakeholders.
Ability to foster collaborations with academia, industry and government.
Entrepreneurial, driven and able to navigate ambiguity.

Responsibilities

Set strategic direction and research priorities for SERC aligned with national priorities.
Drive portfolio execution, resource allocation and program impact across domains.
Foster collaborations across government, academia, industry and venture partners.
Champion technology translation, venture creation and ecosystem development.
Represent A*STAR in national and international forums and policy discussions.
