Key Responsibilities
1. Deal Sourcing & Origination
- Lead proactive sourcing efforts to generate proprietary and intermediary-driven deal flow.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with investment banks, advisors, management teams, and industry executives.
- Develop thematic research and identify emerging sectors and trends aligned with the firm’s investment strategy.
- Evaluate inbound opportunities and determine strategic fit, risk profile, and return potential.
2. Transaction Leadership & Negotiation
- Lead execution of investment opportunities from initial screening to closing.
- Oversee valuation work, financial modeling, commercial analysis, and due diligence processes.
- Manage external advisors (legal, financial, commercial, technical) to ensure comprehensive diligence and risk mitigation.
- Own deal structuring and negotiation of key terms, including SPA, shareholder agreements, and financing documents.
- Prepare and present investment memoranda to the Investment Committee.
3. Investment Management & Value Creation
- Serve as a board member or board observer for selected portfolio companies.
- Work closely with CEOs, CFOs, and management teams to refine strategic plans, set KPIs, and drive operational and financial improvements.
- Support M&A add‑on strategies, capital structure optimization, and strategic initiatives to enhance asset value.
- Monitor portfolio performance, risks, governance, and compliance requirements.
- Lead exit planning and execution
4. Team Leadership & Firm Contribution
- Mentor, train, and supervise associates and analysts to support team development.
- Promote high standards of analysis, accountability, and collaboration across the investment team.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
