Executive, Demand Planning

The Executive, Demand Planning is responsible for leading all demand planning activities for a specific portfolio of brands, maintaining optimum balance between service levels (stock availability), cash (stock levels), and costs in our warehouses.

Forecasting

  • Reviewing sales forecasts for Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand, integrating commercial targets (financial planning, store openings), launch plans, events, animations, and seasonality, trends and products lifecycle to meet forecast accuracy expectations
  • Reviewing and collaborating with the Regional Category Management team on forecast of both active and new launch products
  • Supporting New Launch Forecast Alignment in collaboration with the Regional Category Management team and challenging when needed
  • Conducting monthly root-cause analysis on forecast inaccuracy
  • Working closely with the Regional Category Management team and local business partners to ensure local knowledge is incorporated into the forecasts
  • Actively reviewing and updating product assortments

Coordinating with the Supply Planning, Regional Category Management, Regional Marketing and Regional Finance Teams

  • Actively participating in S&OP process to align on sales forecasts, financial plans, launches and animation plans
  • Communicating situation on shortage risk, slow-moving products, and discontinued products with the Regional Category Management team to determine inventory reduction plans (markdown operations, returns to vendor, etc) and ensuring minimal ageing stock
  • Communicating with brands, especially prioritized brands, to improve / maintain supply services
  • Posting new launch analysis with the Regional Category Management team and conducting root-cause analysis for high inaccuracy

Driving Change in Processes

  • Defining action plans to improve processes, methods and tools, and monitoring their implementation

We would love to hear from you if you are/have…

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations Management, or Supply Chain
  • At least 1 year of experience in Supply Chain Management, FMCG preferred
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Able to analyze, draw conclusions, and recommend appropriate actions in response to data
  • Experience with SAP and possess advanced Excel capabilities (VBA knowledge and Power BI would be an advantage)
  • Able to work cross-functionally and across various levels in an organization, with strong communication skills
  • Rigorous, organized, and able to work in a dynamic environment
  • Open to new ideas, driving continuous improvement, and willing to challenge the status quo
