Qualifications

  • Prepare Statement of Accounts, Receipts, and Letters for Loan to customers.
  • Cover AR-related job scope when team member is away.

Job description

The Executive, Accounts Receivable and Payable will be responsible for supporting Accounts Receivable functions, including invoice preparation and follow‑ups and assist with payment‑related tasks when necessary.

Job Responsibilities
Account Receivable (AR) activities
  • Generate and send invoices
  • Follow‑up and chase clients/students for payments
  • Post customer invoices in the finance system
  • Preparing Statement of Accounts, Receipts and Letters for Loan to customers
  • Covering AR‑related job scope when team member is away
Account Payable (AP) activities
  • Post supplier invoices and raise payments when necessary
Other finance related work activities
  • Update schedules: i.e. Recharge
  • File invoices and contracts in timely and organised manner
  • Assist in Survey Reports for Department of Statistics Singapore
  • Other ad‑hoc work that may arise in Finance department

This is a non‑exhaustive list of responsibilities and can evolve with time or as assigned by the Reporting Line Manager.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Accountancy or Bachelor of Business (with Accounting or Finance major) with at least 6 months or 1 year of internship or work experience working in either AP or AR function
  • Possess good foundation of accounting principles

Students: For invoicing and advising/resolving incoming payment issues.

External Stakeholders: Clients-To obtain information and/or resolve issues pertaining to incoming payments

Working Environment and Pace
  • Ability to work efficiently via “Work‑from‑home” mode and on‑site in office
  • Collaborative and team‑based work environment
  • Fast pace as many of the documents prepared and sent/submitted are time sensitive.
Terms of Employment
  • Working days are from Mondays to Fridays from 9am to 6pm
  • Occasionally, it may be necessary to work beyond the normal working hours due to scheduled month‑end or year‑end closing.
