Job summary

Rolls‑Royce is seeking an Execution Engineer (Electrical) for Genset Projects in the APAC region, based in Singapore. You will manage technical execution, site supervision, commissioning, and coordinating with internal teams, suppliers and customers to ensure successful delivery of power generation projects.

The role requires hands-on experience with diesel/gas engines and electrical power systems, and the ability to balance technical solutions with commercial considerations while traveling

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of technical experience in diesel/gas engine or power generation industries.
• Hands-on experience in regional project execution, installation, supervision and commissioning of diesel gensets.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-execution support to sales engineering for balance-of-plant design topics.
• Take over awarded orders from Sales and execute technical scope with the Project Manager.
• Balance technical solutions against project budget and commercial requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers and customers to fulfil obligations and deliver documentation.
• Provide onsite technical support including installation, supervision and commissioning.
• Stay updated on technical developments and undertake travel as required.

Position Summary

The Execution Engineer (Electrical) - Genset Projects / Power Generation will be responsible for executing technical application engineering activities for diesel genset direct sales orders across the APAC region. This includes balance-of-plant engineering, project technical execution, site supervision, commissioning, and coordination with internal teams, suppliers and customers to ensure successful delivery of power generation projects.

This role requires strong technical knowledge in diesel/gas engines and electrical power systems, hands‑on project and site experience, and the ability to balance technical solutions with commercial considerations.

What you will be doing:

Sales & Pre‑Execution Support

• Support sales engineering on balance‑of‑plant design topics and best practices
• Share lessons learned to support future project pursuits

Order Execution

• Take over awarded orders from Sales and execute technical scope with the Project Manager.
• Balance technical solutions against project budget and commercial requirements.
• Work with internal teams, suppliers and contractors to fulfil contractual obligations.
• Prepare and provide technical drawings, calculations, manuals and documentation.
• Coordinate factory and supplier deliverables and validate technical proposals.
• Finalize balance‑of‑plant design and raise purchase requisitions.
• Integrate all balance‑of‑plant scope into final product delivery.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements and international / local standards.
• Support subsidiaries and partners with technical guidance during site execution.
• Conduct technical presentations and training.

Site Execution & Commissioning

• Provide onsite technical support including installation, supervision and commissioning
• Ensure successful plant integration and functionality

Others

• Stay updated on technical developments in the market and internal products.
• Perform overseas travel as required.
• Undertake special assignments when delegated.

Position requirements:

• University degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years technical experience in diesel/gas engine or power generation industry.
• Hands‑on experience in regional project execution, installation, site supervision and commissioning of diesel gensets.
• Knowledge of electrical power systems, genset control systems and engineering calculations.
• Understand of schematic diagram and P&ID.
• Advantage: knowledge of automation, switchgear and electrical protection systems.
• Good understanding of Asian business practices.
• Strong communication skills, teamwork, proactiveness and positive mindset.
• Willing to travel within APAC.
