Job summary

TP ICAP Group in Singapore seeks a high‑calibre candidate for the APAC Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) Operations team. You will support brokers and trading desks in a dynamic operations environment across APAC and global markets, ensuring accurate trade processing and strong control standards throughout the lifecycle.

The role emphasizes timely trade entry, trade reconciliation, audit trails, and collaboration with clients, counterparties, and clearing venues.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in financial services back office or settlements operations.
  • Background in financial markets and energy/commodities products is desirable.
  • Experience using exchange systems and managing trade flow.
  • Excellent accuracy and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of trades into various clearing venues.
  • Monitor Futures trades during life cycle.
  • Ensure Futures are allocated and given up according to strict timelines.
  • Coordinate with clients or counterparties to resolve mismatches or unmatched trades and confirmations; address fail transactions and claims.
  • Ensure that all confirmations are delivered to the client.
  • Assist with trade queries from front office, operations, and finance teams.
  • Work closely with brokers to ensure trade details are accurately captured.
  • Ensure static data requirements are captured and updated into various systems.
  • Maintain good audit trails, books and records; ensure SOPs and operations documentation are up to date.
  • Liaise with clients, clearers and exchanges to resolve queries.
  • Perform daily operations control and reports (reconciliation, confirmation suppression, cancel/amend, incomplete status).
  • Prepare monthly reports.

Role Overview

We are seeking a high‑calibre candidate to join our APAC Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) Operations team. The successful candidate will support brokers and trading desks within a dynamic operations environment, covering a wide range of products including Futures, Options, and Financial Derivatives. The role is responsible for supporting the ETD Operations function across APAC and global financial markets, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of trades throughout the trade lifecycle while maintaining a strong control environment. The candidate will work closely with brokers, trading desks, clients, counterparties, and clearing venues to resolve exceptions, manage enquiries, and deliver a high standard of service. In addition, the role supports operational excellence and quality assurance by maintaining robust controls, ensuring procedures and SOPs remain up to date, and driving continuous process improvements across the APAC ETD Operations function.

Role Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of trades into various clearing venues
  • Monitoring of Futures trades during life cycle
  • Ensure Futures are allocated and given up according to strict timelines
  • Co‑ordinate and follow up with Clients or Counterparties to resolve mismatches or unmatched trades and confirmations, fail transactions and claims
  • Ensure that all confirmations are delivered to the client
  • Assist with trade queries from front office, operations, and finance teams
  • Working closely with brokers to ensure trade details are accurately captured
  • Ensure static data requirements are captured and updated into various systems
  • Maintain good audit trails, books and records.
  • Ensure SOP/Procedures and all the operations documentation are regularly reviewed and up‑to‑date.
  • Liaise with clients, clearers and exchanges to resolve queries
  • Perform Daily Operations Control and Reports, such as Reconciliation of Brokerages for the previous day, Confirmation suppression, Cancel and Amend, Incomplete Status, etc.
  • Prepare monthly reports
Experience / Competences
  • 2-3 years relevant working experience in Financial services Back Office or Settlements Operations.
  • Background in financial markets and energy/commodities products is desirable, with knowledge of oil products preferred but not essential
  • Experience using exchange systems and managing trade flow
  • Accuracy, attention to detail when working with strict deadlines
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and prioritise workload accordingly
  • Ability to adapt to changing systems and process flows
  • Flexible approach to working hours, able to do shift work and during Public Holiday
  • Ability to build relationships across the organisation
  • Trouble shooting and problem solving skills
  • Good team player
  • Clear and confident communicator
