Job summary

CORA ENVIRONMENT GROUP PTE. LTD. is seeking an Excavator Operator to safely and efficiently operate recycling plant machinery, supporting processing, sorting, and recovery of recyclables. The role focuses on maximizing plant uptime while minimizing downtime and adhering to safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience with industrial machinery, be able to work outdoors, and be flexible for shifts and overtime as required by the production schedule.

Qualifications

• Operates excavator safely and efficiently on-site.
• Shows basic mechanical aptitude and can spot issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavator safely and efficiently.
• Maintain and clean excavator equipment regularly.
• Perform pre- and post-operational checks on the excavator.
• Inspect machinery daily and report abnormalities promptly.
• Monitor machine performance and escalate issues to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety practices and company policy.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment.
• Assist with sorting and processing recyclable materials as required.
• Carry out ad hoc duties and general operational tasks as directed.

Job description

Purpose and Scope

The Excavator Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective operation of recycling plant machinery and equipment to support the processing, sorting, and recovery of recyclable materials. This position plays a key role in maximizing operational efficiency, minimizing downtime of the plant.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• To operate the excavator in a safe manner


• Perform upkeep and routine cleaning of the excavator


• Perform daily Pre and Post check of the excavator to ensure it is in good condition at all time


• Conduct daily pre-operational and post-operational inspections to ensure machinery and equipment are in safe working condition and report any abnormalities promptly.


• Monitor machine performance during operations and take corrective actions or **es**calate issues to supervisors when necessary to minimize downtime.


• Ensure strict compliance with all safety practices and regulations in accordance with the company policy.


• Perform routine cleaning, housekeeping, and basic maintenance of machinery and equipment.


• Assist with the sorting, handling, and processing of recyclable materials as required.


• Support plant operations by carrying out ad hoc duties and general operational tasks assigned by supervisors.

Qualification, Skills and Experience

• At least 2 years of experience operating industrial machinery, plant equipment, or processing systems is preferred. Candidates without relevant experience are welcome to apply as on-the-job training will be provided.


• Possess basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify operational issues and equipment abnormalities.


• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.


• Physically fit and able to work in an industrial and outdoor environment.


• Willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime when required.
