Job Title: Events Manager

About Us:

Makers backs leading entrepreneurs, investing in seed to late-stage companies working on the next industry defining gaming experiences to the technology underpinning them.

To date, we have invested in more than 100 companies across 12 countries and are supported by Limited Partners that include leading endowment funds, sovereign wealth funds and institutions from around the world. Makers Fund has presence in USA, Europe, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

The Events Manager will lead Makers external and internal events globally, such as our Annual General Meeting, Knowledge roundtables, networking events and curated dinners. The individual will be responsible for managing, supporting and executing on the events, working alongside the Makers investment and operations team. The role requires practical experience in event logistics, and venue management and travel across US/Europe/Asia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages high-profile and complex events, acting as the lead on global events involving multi-region support.
  • Provides consultative planning support for all events to ensure exemplary event experience.
  • Manage multiple programs/events, across various industry verticals, with creativity, innovation, and strategy, delivering world class creative execution.
  • Oversees logistics (transportation, venue, accommodation), decor, entertainment, catering, swags, and all other event needs.
  • Provide onsite support during the larger event execution, coordinating event support needs.

Skill and Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ event management and/or AGM, Summit and Conference planning experience preferred.
  • Strong experience dealing with events in the USA, EU, Singapore and other Asian countries with proven track record of successfully managing those scale events.
  • Willing to travel for on-site events. This role will be assigned to a primary location but will require flexibility to travel to support across countries as required.
  • Strong meeting coordination experience for meetings/conferences ranging between 10 – 100+ people.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with all levels of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to execute tasks independently and efficiently.
  • Creative problem solver, resourceful, team player.
  • Adaptability to situations and ever-changing demands.
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines.
