Responsibilities
- Participate and be knowledgeable of catering budget, forecast, catering package and event financials (P&L)
- Sales driven to develop strategy, action plan, promotion and campaign related to e-commerce catering platform or assigned industry and client accounts
- Versatile / willing to be involved in Venue, MICE, Corporate (B2B / B2C), Social (birthday, wedding, and celebration), Festival (Pop-Ups), Marquee and Calendar events (F1, Airshow), Government (VITAL, GeBIZ) and related (Individual will be assigned / specialized in ONE or a combination)
- Scalable in approach to manage niche and mass volume events and flexible to adapt with low - mid - premium pricing and its catering offering, respectively
- Engage both reactive and proactive sales processes in lead generation, pipeline follow- up and sales conversion
- Focus on revenue growth with existing and new accounts
- Exceed in client relationship, engagement and hospitality
- Possess product knowledge and experience in event and catering
- Creative in concept and collaborative in engagement with catering and event partners to offer a diverse and holistic client experience
- Knowledgeable and keeps abreast of competitor Product, Price, Promotion, Place, People, Processes, physical evidence (website and social media monitoring)
- Develop a thorough understanding of clients’ needs and to be fully responsible and accountable to ensure smooth delivery of client and operational service / service recovery, respectively
- Work closely with service operations and culinary team to ensure completeness of all related admin and documentation (Event Orders, PO/DO, SOP, etc.)
- To be involved and supportive of service operations for VIP and unique events
- Oversee daily catering sales administration and associate/s, sales, business and operations meeting
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Company
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Candidate should ideally possess a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Food & Beverage Services, Hotel, Tourism, Hospitality and / or Event Management
- Valid Basic Food Hygiene and Safety (FHS) certification will be an advantage
- Knowledge, experience and ability to drive catering sales strategy, revenue forecasting, action plan, event P&L and to execute and manage indoor / outdoor catering events is necessary
- Sensitive to competitors market positioning
- Positive sales attitude, aptitude, strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Excellent organization, administrative skills and with attention to detail
- Catering e-commerce platform and a flair for social media (IG, FB, TIKTOK) will be an advantage
- Good and reliable vendor / partner contacts for F&B catering will be a benefit
- Proficient in MS software (WORD, EXCEL, PPT) and comfortable working with e-commerce and Sales - CRM platforms, where applicable
- Willing to upskill and adapt to change by participating in inhouse / external training, where available (eg. Sales & Marketing, Halal Certification Conditions)
