Team Lead - Experiential & Corporate Events

Our client is a global agency specialising in brand experiences, corporate events, and strategic audience engagement is expanding its team within a major financial‑services client account. The organisation partners with brands across multiple sectors and have a fantastic culture and reputation - this is a unique and excellent opportunity.

This position acts as a senior point of contact, within a dedicated client account. You'll work closely with the account's leadership to help shape strategy, provide day-to-day insight into the client's business priorities, and ensure seamless delivery across multiple work streams. The role combines team leadership, stakeholder management and hands‑on oversight of high‑profile programmes such as event planning, venue sourcing, delegate management, roadshows or event technology.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach and grow a team, including regular performance conversations and structured development plans.
  • Manage team capacity, workflow, and resource allocation, maintaining awareness of pressure points through consistent 1:1s.
  • Support the recruitment of team members, in partnership with the People & Culture function.
  • Prom a collaborative, supportive and inclusive team environment; maintain morale and encourage proactive thinking.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with account leadership to understand client objectives and contribute insight on opportunities, challenges, and evolving needs.
  • Build strong relationships with senior and C‑suite stakeholders, maintaining credibility even in high‑pressure or complex situations.
  • Refine processes and work streams for efficiency; identify areas for improvement and lead solutions during periods of change.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management and escape risks or successes as needed.

Project & Event Delivery

  • Manage the life cycle of assigned programmes, ensuring flawless execution across planning, sourcing, contracting, registration, attendee management or event tech.
  • Work with internal specialists across operations, creative, logistics and technology to drive deliverables and uphold best practices.
  • Maintain adherence to internal SOPs, compliance expectations and industry standards.
  • Travel on-site for live event delivery when required.
Experience & Skills Required
  • 7-10+ years in event management, ideally within financial services, professional services or a fast‑paced corporate setting.
  • Proven people management experience with the ability to mentor, inspire and guide a growing team.
  • Strong track record delivering a wide range of events – from executive‑level engagements to conferences, receptions and corporate programmes.
  • Advanced venue sourcing expertise, including contracting, negotiation and commission management.
  • Hands‑on experience with registration and event tech platforms.
