Job description
Event planning (Sales Focus)
  • Develop Event Strategy: Plan and conceptualize promotional events (e.g., roadshows, trade show booths, mall activations, community fairs) with the primary goal of driving SIM card sales, customer sign‑ups and/or other related services.
  • Set Sales Targets & KPIs: Establish clear event objectives, focusing on metrics like the number of SIM cards sold, new customer acquisition and event ROI.
  • Budget Management: Create and manage the event budget, ensuring all expenditures (venue, staffing, materials, incentives) are cost‑effective and align with the expected sales revenue.
  • Coordination: Manage all operational aspects, including securing prime event locations, manpower arrangement, obtaining necessary permits, and coordinating the delivery and setup of kiosks, branded booths, signage, and SIM card inventory.
Event Execution
  • Product Expertise: Maintain an in‑depth understanding of all SIM card products, plans, and promotions to effectively train staff / part‑timer / interns and handle complex customer inquiries.
  • Sales System Management: Ensure all necessary sales tools, point‑of‑sale (POS) systems, sign‑up forms, and inventory tracking are functioning correctly at the event location.
  • Marketing & Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to design engaging promotional materials (flyers, banners, digital screens) and develop on‑site engagement activities (contests, giveaways) to attract foot traffic and encourage SIM card purchases.
Team Management
  • On‑Site Supervision: Serve as the primary on‑site manager, overseeing all event staff, vendors, and operations to ensure the event runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Performance Monitoring: Motivate the event team, monitor real‑time sales performance, and implement immediate adjustments to sales strategies or staffing based on on‑site data and traffic flow.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure the team delivers an exceptional customer experience that is consistent with the brand, guiding customers through the SIM card selection, sign‑up, and activation process.
Post Event Analysis and Reporting
  • Sales Reporting: Compile and analyze detailed post‑event reports, including total SIM cards sold, popular plans, customer demographics, sales team performance, and profitability.
  • Inventory & Financial Reconciliation: Account for all SIM card inventory used and reconcile daily sales figures and expenses.
  • Insights: Use event insights and customer feedback to provide actionable recommendations for improving future events, optimizing sales messaging, and enhancing promotions.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present results and insights to management and sales leadership.
Requirement
  • Experience: 3‑5 years in Event / Sales Management, with a proven history of managing offsite events in tradeshows or roadshows.
  • Industry: Telecom/Mobile industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Education: Preferably at least a diploma in (Marketing, Business Development or related field).
