Job summary

Mercor seeks an experienced equity analyst to lead event-driven research focused on identifying economic networks around upcoming catalysts. The role emphasizes reasoning from fixed data cutoffs, mapping suppliers, customers, and related firms from primary filings and industry data, and articulating how events should transmit to each connection.

You will be graded against a rigorous standard, with 8+ years of direct experience in a senior sector PM, lead analyst, or event-driven investment

Qualifications

• Senior sector PM or lead equity analyst with deep industry knowledge.
• Hands-on experience mapping a company's economic network from primary filings, not from screens or third-party tags.

Responsibilities

• Map suppliers, customers, competitors, distributors, substitutes and geographic exposure from EDGAR filings, footnotes, exhibits, transcripts and industry data.
• Identify related companies ahead of an event and separate direct exposure from weak thematic correlation.
• Estimate direction, magnitude, horizon and confidence, and name the revenue, margin, earnings or valuation mechanism behind each.
• Review model-generated analyses and grade them against your own standard.
