Job description

What the role is

You will carry out valuations of HDB residential, commercial and ancillary properties for sales, leasing and tenancy administration, manage and analyse valuation data to support research and operations, and work with government agencies and industry partners on land acquisition and valuation matters. You may also support digital transformation initiatives, including cloud migration projects. In addition, you may be rotated to a customer-facing role to facilitate home ownership by assessing housing eligibility, grants and loan applications, processing flat transactions, handling appeals, preparing case submissions, and liaising with residents, solicitors and relevant agencies to deliver quality housing services.

What you will be working on

You will be carrying out valuation of HDB flats, HDB commercial and ancillary properties for sale, lease and tenancy administration, and various other purposes. You will be involved in the management and analysis of data in relation to valuations for research purposes and to support the operations of other departments in HDB.

You will also be involved in the purchase of State Land for public housing developments and related processes. Your work will require you to liaise with external public agencies such as the Singapore Land Authority, Urban Redevelopment Authority, and the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore, as well as other non-government organisations such as valuation consultants and real estate professional bodies. You may also be involved in on-premises to cloud migration projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and support migration activities.

During your employment, you may also be rotated to take on the role of a Customer Relations Manager, to deliver quality services to applicants and residents of HDB flats and facilitate home ownership. You will be involved in assessing applicants' eligibility to buy a new/resale HDB flat, receive CPF housing grants and take an HDB housing loan, providing guidance towards informed housing and prudent financing decisions or processing of the sale or resale transactions of HDB flats. You will assess and respond to appeals from customers who deviate from the eligibility conditions to buy an HDB flat, prepare case reports and draft submissions for management’s consideration for deserving cases. Your duties also include the day-to-day liaison with applicants/residents, solicitors and relevant agencies.

What we are looking for

You should have background and professional qualifications in Real Estate or related fields, and education and training in valuation methods and principles. Valuation experience in the private sector would be an advantage. You should possess initiative, an analytical and creative mind, and excellent interpersonal skills. You should also be a good team player who is able to build a rapport with people at all levels, possess a customer-service mindset, and work well independently. Excellent communication and writing skills, competence in using Microsoft Office and experience in data analytics will be an added advantage.

Successful candidates will be offered a 1+1 year contract.
