A facilities management company in Singapore is seeking a Building Maintenance Officer to support efficient and smooth estate operations. The role involves overseeing maintenance activities, managing contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Candidates must have a diploma in Civil or Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in MS Office and good communication skills in English are essential. 1) Support the FM Manager with delivering an efficient and smooth running of the estate/building operation, with particular focus on the day-to-day management of all maintenance issues.
2) Carry out other minor maintenance and repair jobs, including minor plumbing, exchanging locks, connecting of electrical appliance and changing of light bulbs.
3) Co-ordinate and supervise estate/building maintenance and minor repair activities carried out by contractors.
4) Response and co-ordinate with contractors to rectify critical building defects promptly (which may include after office hours).
5) Co-ordinate and supervise renovation work carried out by contractors.
6) Validate maintenance jobs are carried out in accordance to work specifications and conduct site walk to inspect the estate/building.
7) Ensure contractors follow safety and security regulations.
8) Perform other duties as assigned.
