Job description
Month-end, Quarterly, and Year-end Closing Functions
  • Request quotations from suppliers.
  • Verify that product specifications meet operational requirements.
  • Request service or delivery schedules.
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve issues.
  • Communicate with process owners to gather feedback.
Data Collection for ESH-Related Activities
  • Coordinate with process owners to collect ESH-related data.
  • Perform data analysis and interpretation.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve identified issues.
Promotion of In-house Safety Culture and Awareness
  • Conduct routine workplace inspections.
  • Deliver education and awareness training.
  • Participate in risk assessments, HAZOP, EAI, and PPE assessment reviews.
  • Organize ESH-related programmes to promote safety culture.
  • Share ESH-related cases with staff for awareness and case-study learning.
  • Conduct safety induction courses for new employees.
  • Carry out PSSR (QESH inspection) for new equipment and processes.
  • Assist in monthly ESH team meetings.
  • Encourage workplace improvement suggestions from stakeholders.
Compliance with Legal and Other Requirements
  • Arrange for third-party testing (e.g., Industrial Hygiene Monitoring, Stack Emission Monitoring).
  • Provide internal ESH awareness training.
  • Coordinate third-party training (e.g., forklift refresher, respirator fit testing, CERT, confined space, first aid).
  • Advise stakeholders and raise awareness of legal compliance requirements.
  • Assist in SHMS audits, including document preparation and verification.
  • Support the maintenance of the legal register.
  • Communicate legal requirement changes and recommend follow-up actions.
  • Assist with document submissions to authorities.
Contractor Management
  • Review document submissions from contractors and vendors.
  • Deliver safety induction courses for contractors and vendors.
  • Conduct on-site assessments of contractor and vendor work.
  • Ensure PTW compliance.
  • Oversee contractor activities to ensure safe work practices and a safe working environment.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to allocate laydown and resting areas for contractors.
  • Ensure 5S workplace standards are maintained.
Process Safety Improvement
  • Understand process outlines and flows.
  • Identify areas with operational pain points.
  • Collaborate with process owners to find improvement opportunities.
  • Evaluate new technologies for application to existing processes.
  • Conduct design reviews with stakeholders for management of change (PCA).
  • Review standard operating procedures with process owners to integrate safe work practices, including lockout/tagout and safe shutdown procedures.
Emergency Response
  • Assist SIC, SMC, and FSM with on-site emergency preparedness activities.
  • Coordinate with the general administration section and guardhouse security to maintain site security.
  • Communicate with relevant authorities on emergency and security matters.
  • Verify the functionality and availability of on-site emergency equipment and tools.
  • Support revisions to the emergency response plan when required.
