Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an EPMS Controls Design Engineer to contribute to the Controls Design Engineering (CDE) team. Focused on EPMS design coordination, the role delivers consistent data center control standards and electrical power monitoring practices across global projects.

The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, reviewing EPMS drawings, and leading SOWs, FWTs, EQTs, and vendor proposals to drive risk reduction and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data centers or other critical environments.
• 2+ years with electrical diagrams and single-line diagrams.
• 2+ years with industrial controls systems.
• Experience with power monitoring and SCADA.
• Knowledge of EPMS and data center redundancy.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of EPMS programming and design, Modbus communication, electrical distribution, single-line diagrams, data center redundancy.
• Review MEP drawings for EPMS design content.
• Create EPMS scopes of work (SOW) and review vendor proposals during bid review.
• Coordinate with regional project managers to finalize project SOWs.
• Attend FWTs and EQTs to validate EPMS devices and test EPMS functionality.
• Develop and maintain EPMS specifications, Basis of Design and project SOW documents.
• Lead collaboration with construction, programmers, MEP/ACS engineers, and managers.
• Travel globally as needed to support projects.
