Job summary

A renowned food manufacturing company in Singapore is looking for an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager. The role involves implementing the Emergency Action Plan, managing local EHS management systems, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience and knowledge of standards such as ISO 14001. Strong communication and incident management skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with EHS standards like ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or OSHSAS 18001 is required.
  • Registration with MOM as Workplace Safety and Health Officer is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement the Emergency Action Plan.
  • Develop and direct execution of local EHS management systems.
  • Manage EHS incident reporting and follow-up.
  • Conduct site-wide EHS meetings and inspections.
  • Provide guidance on EHS matters to personnel and contractors.

About the job
  • Working closely with management, this role involves creating and implementing the Emergency Action Plan and acting as the central point of contact for all site-related EHS issues, including incident reporting, investigation, and resolution.
  • Develops, maintains, and directs the execution of the local health, safety, security, and environmental management systems.
  • Takes ownership of EHS incident management and drives implementation of programs and actions stemming from risk assessments and post-incident follow-up.
  • Organizes and performs site-wide EHS meetings, audits, and inspections to monitor regulatory compliance, assess performance, determine corrective measures, and verify their effectiveness.
  • Provides expert guidance to site personnel, contractors, and visitors on all health, safety, and security matters, ensuring strict adherence to all company, industry, local, and national standards.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Preferably at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Familiar with the requirements of relevant standard such as ISO 14001; ISO 45001 or OSHSAS 18001
  • Registered with MOM as Workplace Safety and Health Officer and SCDF as Fire Safety Manager
