ESH Engineer / Assistant Engineer – Chemical / Manufacturing

Location: Jurong Island, Singapore (Company Transport Provided)

Salary: S$3,000 – S$4,200/month

Employment: Full‑Time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, analyse, and report ESH‑related data to support compliance and continuous improvement
  • Conduct safety inspections, workplace audits, inductions, and training programmes for staff and contractors
  • Participate in risk assessments, HAZOP studies, PPE evaluations and Management of Change (MOC) reviews
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements, audits and submissions to authorities
  • Oversee contractor management, including document checks, PTW compliance and safe work practices
  • Support process safety initiatives, operational enhancements and emergency preparedness activities
Requirements
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience; entry‑level candidates with strong interest in process safety are welcome
  • Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) and Singapore ESH legal requirements
  • WSQ certifications (e.g. WSH Level C, Work at Height, Confined Space Supervision, Incident & Risk Management) preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (functions, formulas, data analysis)
  • Strong communication, teamwork and independent work skills
  • Safety‑conscious with the ability to guide others in adopting safe practices
