Job Summary:

The Assistant Engineer supports the engineering team in technical, maintenance, and project-related activities. The role involves assisting in troubleshooting, conducting inspections, coordinating contractors, and ensuring all engineering works comply with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Engineers in the planning, execution, and supervision of maintenance, repair, and installation works.
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, or equipment systems.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Prepare daily reports, maintenance checklists, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to carry out repair and servicing works.
• Monitor and ensure all works comply with safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
• Assist in testing and commissioning of new systems or equipment.
• Provide technical support and respond promptly to breakdowns or emergency issues.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and update maintenance records in the system.
• Support improvement projects and cost-saving initiatives.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Nitec/Higher Nitec in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant working experience in maintenance or engineering support.
