Job Description

• Assist Staff Nurses in planning and delivering resident care in line with current nursing standards.
• Provide basic nursing care, including personal hygiene, comfort measures, mobility support, and feeding assistance.
• Monitor and record residents’ vital signs accurately.
• Support safe transfer and positioning of non‑ambulant residents.
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all care provided.
• Assist in the admission and orientation of new residents.
• Carry out rehabilitation activities such as range‑of‑motion exercises and supervised walking.
• Participate in resident activities and therapy programs (e.g., kitchen tasks, gardening, laundry).
• Assist in serving oral medications under supervision.
• Safeguard residents’ privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.
• Report any changes in residents’ health status to the designated doctor or nurse in charge.
• Participate in team reviews and nursing meetings.
• Support the implementation of nursing home policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
• Attend ongoing education and in‑service training to support professional development.
• Assist in monitoring and improving nursing practices as guided by senior nursing staff.

Qualifications

Diploma in Nursing.
