Job description
Teach structured English and Creative Writing to Primary and Lower Secondary students. Classroom-based role with curriculum support, small class sizes, and long-term teacher development.

We are hiring a full-time English teacher for a reputable enrichment centre with multiple branches across Singapore. You'll be teaching small-group classes (up to 12 students) focused on English composition, grammar, comprehension, and oral communication. This is a classroom-based role with curriculum support, training, and a collaborative teaching environment.

Responsibilities
  • Teach 10–12 English classes per week (2 hours per class)
  • Deliver structured lessons in writing, grammar, comprehension, and speaking
  • Engage students using storytelling and scaffolded teaching
  • Support learners from Primary 3 to Secondary 2
  • Work closely with internal team and parents to monitor student progress
Who We’re Looking For
  • Applicants with a university degree (any major welcome — we care more about how you teach than what you studied)
  • Prior experience in group classroom teaching (beyond just 1-to-1 tuition)
  • Clear, expressive communicators who can manage and motivate a class
  • Enjoys working with children and building their confidence in English
  • Comfortable with a 44-hour workweek and teaching on weekends
  • Open to occasional centre location rotation based on scheduling needs
Work Schedule
  • 5 working days per week (~44 hours)
  • Example rest days: Monday and Tuesday
  • Must be available for Friday evening and one weekend teaching day

Salary

Gross monthly salary: $3,800 to $4,200 (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
