Job description

You will oversee the general maintenance and minor repairs of equipment and facilities in our Serviced Residence. You will collaborate closely with colleagues from different departments including Guest Service and Housekeeping to ensure a smooth and pleasant stay for all our residents. You will report directly to the Manager or Assistant Manager, Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain good physical condition of the building and ensure that its heating, lighting, and ventilation are in good working condition.
  • Conduct general maintenance work such as painting, patching of walls, plumbing, air-conditioning servicing, and electrical switches to ensure smooth operations.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance programs.
  • Check and inspect the building's machinery and equipment.
  • Respond to and prioritize maintenance requisitions (MWO) and residents' requests to ensure they receive quality service and furnishings.
  • Take on additional specific security duties such as:
  • Conducting patrols in the property.
  • Noting and reporting security and asset irregularities.
  • Following emergency response plans and relevant safety procedures.
  • Assisting in evacuation in the event of emergencies.
  • Performing related tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • At least a NITEC in Electrical, Mechanical, Aircon Maintenance, or an equivalent vocational qualification.
  • Knowledge of building mechanical and electrical (M&E) maintenance-related technical skills.
  • Willingness to perform shifts.
