Engineering Specialist (Grinding Department) – Location: Jurong / Bedok
Position: Engineering Specialist (1st Grinding Department)
Salary: $2,600 – $3,000 + Allowance
Working Hours (Shift Rotations):

• 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Rest Days: 8 days off per month
Company: Leading Singapore-based micro and small ball bearings manufacturer

Job Responsibilities

• Assist daily production processes to ensure efficient operation and product quality.
• Operate O/D (outer diameter) grinders and side grinders to maintain bearing size accuracy and surface finish.
• Coordinate parts flow to meet grinding schedules on time.
• Monitor equipment performance and support maintenance and repairs.
• Supervise production to ensure compliance with quality standards and make necessary adjustments.
• Train and guide operators to improve skills and proper equipment usage.
• Analyze production issues and participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Manage tools and materials inventory to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Act as a communication link between grinding, quality control, and maintenance departments.
• Prepare audit documentation, maintain records, and provide administrative support.
• Follow safety protocols and contribute to environmental and quality system improvements (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 14001).
• Attend department meetings and follow supervisor instructions for additional tasks.

Requirements

• Relevant technical experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• Able to work rotating shifts.
• Minimum education: Diploma, NITEC or above.
• Detail-oriented with good communication and teamwork skills.
