Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Proven track record delivering complex, scalable systems.
• Proficiency in Java and object-oriented design.
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of secure, high-scale distributed systems powering Apple Store Online.
• Partner with product managers and designers to shape roadmaps and align engineering with business goals.
• Stay hands-on with system architecture, code reviews, and mentoring engineers.
• Drive engineering excellence through API design, observability, CI/CD, and secure-by-design development.
• Manage scope, risk, and delivery across multiple projects with clear stakeholder communication.
• Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing engineering team and invest in growth.
• Communicate technical strategy and risks to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Education
