Job summary

A major transportation company in Singapore seeks a Supervisor to assist in managing a team for emergency track incidents. Responsibilities include safety management, preparing reports, and planning inspections. Candidates should have a diploma in Engineering and 5-8 years of relevant experience. Night shift work is required. Skills in driving and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Preferably with at least 5–8 years of relevant experience in the railway environment.
  • Ability to work permanent night shift.

Responsibilities

  • Provide recommendations to the management regarding track failure and recovery.
  • Manage and deploy manpower for the emergency team.
  • Responsible for team's safety, welfare, attendance and disciplinary matters.
  • Prepare weekly activation report and monthly report on man‑hours.
  • Plan and manage the calibration and inspection for tools and equipment.
  • Plan and execute monthly and ad‑hoc noise measurements island‑wide.
  • Audit staff in accordance to Based Safety Observation Data Sheet (BBS).
  • Conduct and assess yearly staff performance appraisal.

Job Purpose

To assist the Manager to supervise a team of Assistant Engineers and Technical Officers to respond, investigate and manage emergency track incidents. The position would require the incumbent to work permanent night shift.
