Job summary

JC Consulting is seeking an Engineering Lead – Data, Search & AI to own the technical roadmap, strengthen data and search capabilities, and lead a team of engineers building AI-enabled products.

You will work with Product, Sales and domain experts to translate complex data and business needs into production-ready solutions, while staying hands-on in coding and problem solving as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven engineering management experience.
• Experience with data platforms, indexing and AI-enabled products.
• Strong backend and distributed systems knowledge.
• Ability to translate requirements into actionable plans.

Responsibilities

• Own technical strategy and roadmaps for data, search and AI.
• Lead data ingestion, processing, indexing and retrieval systems.
• Set standards for deployment, testing, observability and reliability.
• Lead and mentor engineers while writing code when needed.
