Job summary

NHG Health in Singapore seeks an Engineering Assistant, Biomedical Engineering to perform routine safety checks, preventive maintenance, and commissioning of medical equipment. You will update equipment history records and coordinate with external contractors for parts replacement and service delivery.

Responsibilities include supervising contractor work, maintaining inventory of service parts, ensuring compliance with MOH Licensing and Accreditation, JCI and ISO standards, and mentoring

Qualifications

• Diploma in Biomedical/Electronics Engineering or vocational training in Electronics/Mechatronics with practical experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Service orientation with good communication and supervisory skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to work with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Report feedback to Engineer on service issues.
• Participate in hospital tours for visitors and other department staff.
• Train and mentor students attached to BME department for industrial attachments.
• Share learning points of the department operations.
• Embrace continuous improvement as our daily work ethos.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(A) SPECIFIC

• Perform routine safety checks and preventive maintenance on medical equipment.

• Share learning points of the department operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

(A) EDUCATION TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• Recognised Diploma in Biomedical I Electronics Engineering OR Vocational training certificate in Electronics I Electromechanical I Mechatronics Engineering with practical experience of at least 5 years,
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Service oriented with good communication and supervisory skills.
• Positive work attitude and ability to work with all levels of staff.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Able to work beyond normal work hours as and when required.
