Job summary

Farrer Park Hospital Pte. Ltd. seeks a Biomedical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering technician to support the maintenance team in achieving KPIs and ensure reliable medical equipment operation.

You will supervise external contractors, coordinate service activities, and conduct testing and commissioning of equipment on site. The role requires a diploma or NITEC with relevant experience, strong hands-on skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Biomedical/Electronic/Electrical Engineering with at least 1 year of relevant experience, or NITEC with at least 3 years.
• Able to multi-task and meet tight timeline.
• Self-motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and oral communication; work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineers, Senior Engineers and Manager in achieving the department's KPIs.
• Supervise and co-ordinate work performed by external contractors including part replacement, corrective recommendations, installation and other service-related activities.
• Monitor preventive maintenance by external contractor to ensure timely completion.
• Testing and commissioning of medical equipment.
• Update and maintain proper equipment history records.
• Attend to corrective maintenance.
• Perform routine safety checks and preventive maintenance.
• Assess equipment put up for condemnation by end-user.
• Ensure BME testers and simulators are calibrated timely.
• Perform after office hour standby duty.
• Report/feedback to Engineers, Senior Engineers and Manager on service related issues.
• Participate both formal and informal quality work improvement projects.
• Perform any other duties assigned.
