Job summary

Silicon Box Pte. Ltd. is seeking a senior Quality Manager to establish and maintain a robust QMS for a startup environment. The role involves integrating quality policies, conducting risk assessments, and leading both internal and external audits to ensure regulatory and customer compliance.

You will drive continual improvement using IATF core tools and collaborate across departments to achieve quality excellence in a fast-paced semiconductor setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 8 years of quality management experience in semiconductor production.
• Auditor for ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949; VDA 6.3 certification is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of IATF core tools: APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA, Control Plan.

• Establish and maintain quality policies, processes, and procedures for a new start‑up company.
• Integrate quality policies into a structured and sustainable Quality Management System (QMS).
• Plan and conduct risk assessments and quality control reviews to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, customer, and internal requirements.
• Develop internal audit scope and criteria, and lead internal audits according to internal, external, and QMS standards.
• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
• Drive ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certification activities, including documentation, readiness checks, and engagement with stakeholders.
• Lead external audits with regulators, certification bodies, and customers, and manage follow‑up actions to close quality compliance issues.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) using tools such as 5Why and Fishbone (Ishikawa) diagrams.
• Train, coach, and develop employees on technical competencies (e.g., standards requirements, IATF core tools) to ensure the organization maintains and complies with quality standards.
• Manage APQP, PPAP, MSA, FMEA, and Control Plan activities to support product and process qualification.
• Establish and manage Change Management procedures, including communication with customers and relevant stakeholders.
• Oversee measuring equipment calibration to ensure proper measurement traceability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive continual improvement initiatives.
• Perform other ad‑hoc tasks assigned by the reporting manager.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Preferably 8 years of relevant experience in quality management within a semiconductor production environment.
• Certified ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 auditor; certification in VDA 6.3 Process Audit is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of IATF core tools, including APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA, and Control Plan.
• Analytical and structured, with the ability to design and implement processes and procedures in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment; resourceful in proposing effective solutions.
• Demonstrates strong commitment to quality excellence and customer satisfaction.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels.
• Strong team player with a collaborative mindset, able to work effectively across departments and build positive working relationships
