Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced professional for a role focused on implementing productivity programs and ensuring quality in plastic injection molding processes. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, process improvement, and oversight of tooling for new products.

Job description

JOB REQUIREMENT / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Initiate and implement productivity programs for the plant
• Process improvement through capability studies
• Preparation of process instruction
• Fault finding and troubleshooting of process / tooling-related problems during production and testing
• Participates in company’s overall quality and process goals
• Initiate and conduct the test of new or modified mould and determine optimum machine settings or optimal process cycle
• Achieve company’s productivity improvement objective in-house quality & process goals
• Oversees tooling for new products
• Participate and recommend solutions to moulding problems related to moulds
• Initiate engineering change
• Implementation of mould preventive maintenance programs
• Track movement of moulds and collaborate with Production Department
• Coordinate and keep track of service record of moulds
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed by the Company or manager/supervisor

EDUCATION / ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION

• Degree/ Diploma in Engineering- related Discipline, preferably in Polymer and Plastic Technology, Mechanical

KEY REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITY

• At least 3 years’ experience in Plastic injection Molding, Preferably in Medical and Automotive industries.
