Responsibilities
Maintaining, repairing, inspecting, commissioning, and installing rotating machinery for ships and power production, including gas and steam turbines. Services for cryogenic equipment. bulk handling of materials.
Service and calibration of automation and instruments.
Troubleshooting and servicing of control systems (PLC). Panel assembly manufacturing. Burner overhauling, automatic feed water control and combustion control for boilers.
A willingness to put in extra time and work hands-on in an oil and gas, marine, and industrial setting (with compensation determined by MOM practices).
Able to leave on short notice for overseas trips (paid allowance).
Qualifications
Degree or equivalent in Automation & Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Marine Engineering from NTC or Diploma programmes.
With or without prior seafaring or expertise in a relevant field.
Effective communication skills between employees and chief engineers/supervisors at all levels.
Able to communicate in Mandarin with clients abroad and possess a strong grasp of English for writing service reports.
