Responsibilities

• Maintain and install rotating machinery for ships and power production.

• Overhaul burners and manage automatic feed water and combustion controls.
• Willing to work extra hours and travel on short notice with appropriate compensation.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Maintaining, repairing, inspecting, commissioning, and installing rotating machinery for ships and power production, including gas and steam turbines. Services for cryogenic equipment. bulk handling of materials.
• Service and calibration of automation and instruments.
• Troubleshooting and servicing of control systems (PLC). Panel assembly manufacturing. Burner overhauling, automatic feed water control and combustion control for boilers.
• A willingness to put in extra time and work hands-on in an oil and gas, marine, and industrial setting (with compensation determined by MOM practices).
• Able to leave on short notice for overseas trips (paid allowance).

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Automation & Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Marine Engineering from NTC or Diploma programmes.
• With or without prior seafaring or expertise in a relevant field.
• Effective communication skills between employees and chief engineers/supervisors at all levels.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin with clients abroad and possess a strong grasp of English for writing service reports.
